We turned in later than we'd intended, and we both were conked out snoring away before too long. This time, I was the first to be awakened by the scream. I jolted up in my sleeping bag, my head throbbing a little from the buzz I'd had earlier. I wasn't sure if I had been dreaming at first, but then I heard it again. It was closer, much closer. It sounded as if it were within a few minutes of sprinting from our camp. The guttural sound of it echoed through the trees, giving it an even more frightening quality. I woke my dad up and we both scrambled into our jeans and boots, not sure what to expect. The scream came again, but this time from almost right outside the tent. I remember that's the first time I ever heard my dad say the work "fuck". We sat still, and in the silence we could barely hear a strange wooshing sound coming from outside the tent. It was as if someone was swinging a stick, moving around and around, circling the campsite. Finally my dad could take no more. He grabbed a flashlight and his rifle and burst out of the tent, pointing the gun wildly around the clearing.

However, as you know, I have been trying to acquire a higher position that would be better suited to my skill set. Therefore, I have accepted a position at another organization which will enable me to continue my growth as an officer. I have decided after deep consideration that this line of work is not well suited to a person of my disposition. Consequently, I will be ending my employment with the 8th Precinct as of April 1st, 2017. I would like to thank you for giving me a chance and supporting me throughout this entire process. The concluding sentence or paragraph will allow you to give thanks to your employer and/or create a final thought to summarize. It should also be capped off with a valediction (complementary closing). Thank you for the great opportunity. I wish you and the other officers of the 1st Precinct nothing but the best. Sincerely, Mike Brown It was a privilege and an honor getting to know yourself and the other fine officers of the 8th Prescient. All the best, John Smith May 1, 2017 Frank Rivers Sheriff Los Angeles Police Department 100 West 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 Dear Mr. Rivers, I am writing to you today to inform you that I will be ending my employment as an officer with the LAPD, effective as of April 1, 2017.
The old job, where I would work and then on the weekend complain to people about how work sucks and I wish I didn't have to spend 40 hours there. "If only I could work less". Well, now I've got that and I'm also miserable. What's that about? Surely that isn't healthy? Is there something wrong with me? You might say "well you're unhappy because your job is stressful, find a new one". What other job? The one where I work 3 days, earn good money but also have no responsibility or pressures. It doesn't exist. If we're honest, I am incredibly lucky to have the deal that I do have. Again, I say lucky as a relative term. I know I don't have to tell you guys that the working world is an absolute sham, and that none of us are lucky to be working. Am I just mentally configured to be an unhappy, ungrateful person, no matter what my situation is? That's what it's beginning to feel like. UPDATE: I wrote all that 3 months ago but never posted it. I'm now 6 months into the job and I've moved up to full time hours.

'But I got an enormous satisfaction when I realised I could do it. I couldn't think about anything else because I was just thinking about survival, which is weirdly quite relaxing. ' She said: 'There were lots of times where we would be suspended up in the basket in the balloon and we wouldn't be able to come down so we'd often be helping each other out doing little costume tweaks and hair stuff' Wow! Discussing her newfound ability to climb silks, Felicity admitted that she found the activity 'weirdly relaxing' because all she could think about was her survival Alongside the interview, Felicity also posed for a selection of chic fashion shots, where most of the images followed a bright and vibrant theme.
